PACH and The Uni Project in NYC

For three days in May, PACH partnered with The Uni Project to create public, open-air reading rooms in Tompkins Square Park and Washington Square Park with boys from George Jackson Academy (GJA) and The Boys’ Club of New York. The Uni Project curated a special collection of books, and boys from GJA read aloud their own poems and short essays about family. Boys from the The Boys’ Club of New York displayed artwork. GJA boys also volunteered in other reading rooms created by The Uni Project in neighborhoods across the city all summer long, writing mini-book reviews and reading aloud to other kids.
